Anita Frances (Gill) Wilborn

Anita F. Wilborn, age 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Pewee Valley, Kentucky.

Anita was born and raised in Pewee Valley, KY and was a graduate of Oldham County High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for local retail establishments and wholesale

businesses which she enjoyed greatly. Anita had a passion for music and fishing. If she wasn’t working, going to church, or playing her mandolin, she could be found at any local lake with a rod in her hand and a basket full of bait. Her faith was central to her life; she was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and a member of Beulah Land Bible Baptist Church in Louisville.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Christine Gill, her brothers David Gill (Edith), and William Gill, Jr. (Dorothy), her sister Mary Estes (Ralph), and a step

great-granddaughter Aria Morford.

Anita is survived by her husband of 64 years Claude, and daughters Cynthia Willen of Leitchfield, KY and Lisa Wilborn of Pewee Valley, KY. She leaves behind a loving legacy,

including her grandchildren: James West Jr.(Heather) of Westport, Kentucky and Erin Morford (Paul) of Corydon, IN. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Carson West, Luke

West, Mike and Charlee Tolle of Westport, KY, Cory Kelley of Westport, KY, Alyson Kelley of Corydon, IN and Emily Kelley of Corydon, IN.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and caregivers at Hosparus of Louisville for their love, compassion, and comforting care.

Visitation for Anita will be held at Stoess Funeral Home (6534 West Highway 22 | Crestwood, KY 40014) on Wednesday March 11, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 PM. Visitation will

also be held on Thursday March 12, 2026 from 10:00-11:00 AM with a Funeral service held immediately following at Stoess Funeral Home. Burial will be at Floydsburg Cemetery in

Crestwood, KY.
