Susan (Ellis) Uhls

Susan Ellis Uhls died peacefully with family present after a long battle with cancer on Friday November, 3rd, 2017 in Louisville, KY at the age of 70. Susan is survived by her loving husband, John; son,  Chad (Julie) of Fulton, Missouri; daughter, Charlene Brock (Chet) of Crestwood, Kentucky, and grandchildren, Owen Uhls, and Landyn and Payton Brock. She is preceded in death by her parents, Olaf H. and Mary P. Ellis of Danville, Indiana and brother Charles D. Ellis of Moore Township, Pennsylvania.  Susan was born on October 12, 1947 in Lebanon, Indiana. She graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Psychology. She later in life, at the age of 64, proudly earned her Master’s in Business Administration from Webster University. Shortly after earning her graduate degree she retired from UPS where she worked in flight operations. Susan retired to Surfside Beach, South Carolina where she enjoyed hosting her family at the beach and performing recitals with her Rock’N’ettes dance team.  It was Susan’s wishes to be cremated and the family will host a private memorial service in Danville, Indiana to be scheduled in the spring of 2018.
