Stephen W. Davis

Stephen W. Davis Sr., 65 of LaGrange, Loving husband for 42 years and father, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on March 6, 2018 at Hosparus Inpatient Care. Known for his belly laughs, bear hugs, and blazing wit. He had great faith and trusted Christ as his Savior.

Born in Louisville, Steve was the son of Raymond Smith(Judy) and Shirley Davis(Donald). He attended Pleasure Ridge Park HS, U of L and Morehead State University. He owned and managed auto service stations and a car wash in Louisville and later transitioned into commercial real estate. He was an Eagle Scout, a football player for U of L and Morehead, an outdoorsman, nature lover and skilled bow hunter, an organic gardener, a U of L sports enthusiast and a member of LaGrange Baptist Church and Gideons International.

He is survived by his devoted wife Carolyn (Blair) Davis; two beloved sons Stephen Davis Jr., and Michael Davis; a brother Jerry Smith(Rhonda); and sisters Cherylene Brewer (Larry), Kim  Freeman (Ron), and Donna Dixon(Doug).

Visitation will be March 9th from 4-8 pm at Stoess Funeral Home and the Funeral sevice will be March 10th at 11 am at LaGrange Baptist Church. Donations may be made to LaGrange Baptist Church,  Gideons International and JDRF.
