Loveta (Lucas) Asher

Loveta Lucas Asher, 70, of Crestwood, KY died at Norton Hospital on Monday morning April 2nd from complications of brain cancer. 
She was born a coal miners daughter in Whitesburg, Kentucky on January 2nd, 1948 to Leonard Lucas and Clara Taylor. Loveta was their only child, but the oldest of eight siblings from her two parents. 
Letcher Asher, a sprite young Marine, proposed to her the first day he met her, and they married on August 4th, 1966.  
They moved to Louisville, Kentucky and had two wonderful boys, Kenneth & Kevin. Kenneth has two children of his own, Griffin & Corinne. 
Loveta loved her family above all else, and especially enjoyed her garden. A devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, & Daughter, she is loved by many.  She is survived by her husband Letcher, her two sons Kenneth & Kevin, two grandchildren, Griffin & Corinne, and her siblings include her brothers Steve Lucas, Stanley Lucas, and Sanford Lucas (sadly departed), her sisters Ardella Trauss & Joella Hogg, and her sisters Elana Stanley & Jina Cupp. Her Mom, Vina still lives in Whitesburg, and her Mother, Clara resides in Rogersville, Tennessee. 
Loveta was vivacious. We ask that you carry her spirit with you with the same intention, love, and respect that she embodied moving forward.
