Its been a long time since u left Alabama. But I never forgot about you bro. I remember when u 1st moved down here and your cousin BJ introduce me to you. I knew right from the beginning we would become friends. You are and was one of the greatest, down to earth and coolest person I ever met. I am grateful and blessed to have met you and to have had you as a friend. I know that you are in heaven right now. I just want you to know that I love you bro and I will never forget you. You might be gone off this earth but you are not forgotten. And when its my time to go I'll see you again my friend. Keep the gates open for me. Rest In Peace my home boy and my friend 4ever.

Shawn was one of a kind. We enjoyed sharing the role of Aunt and Uncle to our nieces Hana and Mina with him. The first time I met him I fell in love with his spirit. I will miss his laughter and saying, "Aunt Leslie you are so funny" while he gasping for air in between laughs. Uncle Shawn will be missed and remember in my life forever. To your immediately family we will always be here for you. To my sister Kenya you know what you mean to me. I will always be an ear to listen, arms that will hold you and a shoulder to lean and cry on.

-Love Aunt Leslie and Uncle Gus

We are so sad to hear that our brother in Christ has entered into rest, until the Great Lifegiver will call him from his temporary rest on earth. We will see him at the first resurrection and it will be a joyous reunion ! Amen ! Amen !

I always knew it was going to be a good day when Shawn was at work. His genuine kindness and attitude are difficult to maintain in our business, but Shawn never came up short. He will be greatly missed, not only as a dedicated associate, but a wonderful man. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Sue Hasken
