Charles Yates, Sr.

Charles Yates Sr.,78, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, January 29th, 2017 at Baptist Health Louisville.
He was a very successful businessman having owned many businesses.  He was a  loving father, loving husband and grandfather, an Air Force veteran, an avid U of K fan, and dearly loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Leslie Tipton; and granddaughter, Taylor Marie Clark.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Stoess Yates; daughters, Jeannie Yates, Becky Probus (Dennis), Charlotte Clark; sons, Charles Yates, Jr., Kevin Yates (Wendy), Kelly Yates (Martha), David Miller (Carol); 13 grandchildren, Stacy Colvin (Kris), Eric Sloan (Anna), Ashley yates, Andrew Yates, Justin Probus (Shelby), Whitney Probus (Colin), Erin Gnutek (Mike), Brad Cunningham (Kelsey Lee), Sabra Ball (Phillip), Candice Tipton, Stephanie Clark (Brandon), Amber Yates, Cameron Yates (Meredith Duncan) and Autumn Yates;17 great grandchildren, Rachael Ashby, Maleigha Colvin, Austin Colvin, Tre' Alan Sloan, Tori Lynn Sloan, Dabreon James Sloan, Miah Satterly, Hope Satterly, Caleb Yates, Lydia Probus, Anniston Leathers, Sawyer Michael Gnutek, Trever Williams, Bailee Williams, Jayce Yates, Kylie Ball, and Conner Ball.
Funeral service will be Thursday 3pm, Stoess Funeral Home, Crestwood with burial to follow in Floydsburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday 4-8pm and Thursday 10am-3pm.
