Donetta Ginn Plank

Donetta Ginn Plank, age 86, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on April 5, 2024. Born January 16, 1938 in Bedford, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Carley and Faynola Wallace Ginn. Donetta was a 1956 graduate of Trimble County High School.

Donetta was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend to the many people who loved her. She supported her husband, Dennis Roy Plank, in ministry during their sixty-three years of marriage. Together, they served churches in Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee before retiring to Louisville.

Left to cherish memories of Donetta are daughters and sons-in-law, June and Joe Morton of Cary, NC, Linda and Dan Spaulding of Bath Springs, TN; two sisters: Jeanette Alexander of Louisville, and Judy Cottongim and her husband Ken of Bedford; four brothers and their wives: Bernard Ginn and Shirl, and Dallas Ginn and Shirley all of Milton, Darrell Ginn and Karen of Madison, IN, and Jerry Ginn and Linda of Bedford; one sister-in-law: Teresa Ginn of Bedford; four grandchildren and their spouses: Jennifer Wright and Christopher, John Morton and Olivia, Emily Ford and Will, and Mary Kate Buckner and Brian; five great-grandchildren: Connor and James Wright, Ruby and Clara Ford, and Avery Buckner; and many nieces and nephews.

Donetta was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dennis; four sisters: Jessie Roederer, Mary Jo Cameron, Wanda Wood, and Faye Powell; three brothers: Wilbur, David, and Robert Ginn; and grandson Graham Templeton.

A private memorial was held with burial at Floydsburg Cemetery in Crestwood. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org)
