Randle Decker II

DECKER, Randle II, "Randy", "Papa", 67, of Buckner, passed away Tuesday, August 2nd at his home.

Randy was born on July 9, 1949 in Dearborn, Michigan. Papa was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He had retired from many years of service to the Church and from working as a general contractor. He was devoted to his faith and the Lord, Jesus Christ. Papa loved his family and friends unconditionally. He would always take time to lend a helping hand, share conversation or a funny story and to pray with you. Papa read Jeremiah 33:3, 6-7 every morning to remind himself of God's promise of restoration..."Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know...never the less, I will bring health and healing to it: I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security. I will bring Judah and Israel back from captivity and will rebuild them as they were before." (NIV)

Randy was reunited in death with his wife, Mollie and his mother, Marceline.

Randy will be dearly missed by his best friend and compadre, Adolfo Gerding.

To cherish his memory are many family members including his daughter, MeLinda, and Mark Maresca and their children, James Hunter, Autumn, Isabella, Antonio and Sophia, his daughter, DeEtte Decker Huey, and Abbi Long and their children, Payton, Lily, Henry and Hannah, his father, Randle Decker, Sr., his brother, John (Theresa) his nephews, Jonathan (Erin) and Jordan (Becky), his stepsons, Paul B. Wurtsmith (Michelle) and Todd M. Wurtsmith (Kristina), their families, a very large extended family and his dear brothers and sisters from the Life Church.

Papa so loved and adored his loyal companion, Spanky, his 16 year old Mini Schnauzer.

A gathering of family and friends and visitation will be Monday, August 8th from 5pm to 8pm and on Tuesday, August 9th from 12pm to 1pm at Life Church in Buckner.

Please join us for a celebration of Papa's life, presided by Dr. Gary L. French, pastor, on Tuesday, August 9th at 1pm at Life Church in Buckner.
