Melissa Renee Russert

Melisa Renee Russert, 38 of Louisville, Ky. returned to her Heavenly Father on August 28, 2017.
She worked for several years in Louisville's Hospitality Industry. She grew up in Vermilion, Ohio and attended Vermilion High School. In 1997 her hometown crowned Melisa "Miss Vermilion".
While in Louisville, she extended her education at Jefferson Community & Technical College.
Preceding her in death was her Grandmother, Phyllis Neckich of Amherst, Ohio.
Surviving Family members left behind to cherish Melisa's memory include her Mother, Kimberly Russert of Louisville; her Father, Richard Russert of Ashtabula, Ohio; her Stepfather, Jerome Lock of Louisville; her Grandfather, Howard Carroll of Amherst, Ohio; her Grandmother Virginia Cummings of Vermilion, Ohio; her beautiful children, Justin Smale of Evansville, Indiana; Camren Russert, Bryanna Russert-Bishop & Bryan Russert-Bishop all of Louisville; and many Aunts, Uncles & Cousins.
Melisa loved life, she loved her family & she loved her pets. She never parted from family members without expressing the words, "I Love You!"
Melisa will be dearly missed by her Family & Friends and her memory will remain very alive until the Reuniting of all.
Visitation for Melisa will be conducted from 2pm-6pm Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Stoess Funeral Home, 6534 West Hwy. 22, Crestwood, Ky. 40014.
A private funeral ceremony for Melisa will be scheduled at a later date.
