Josephine "Josie" (Knust) Kaelin

Josephine (Knust) Kaelin, 92, of Crestwood, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 31, 2017.  She was born to Joseph and Anna Knust on April 3, 1924, in Schnellville, IN.  As a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Community, since 1964, she enjoyed the quilting club and supporting the school where all 10 of her children attended.  
She was preceded in death by her 13 siblings, including her twin sister, Anna Mae Reh.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Lawrence Martin Kaelin and their 10 children; Jane Faith, Barbara (Ron) Mercer, Margie Zaring, Laurie (Steve) Wiedemer, Donna Kaelin, Alan Kaelin, Bernie Kaelin, Mary Beth (Eddy) Fields, Karen (Ed) Murner, and Ann Kaelin; 18 grandchildren; MaryJo Petersen, Amy Martin, Ben Mercer, JoAnna Dejean, Zack Zaring, Megan Smither, Andy Zaring, Zeb Zaring, Monica Zaring, Karen Jaracz, Brian Campion, Ashley Kaelin, Allison Murner, Christopher Murner, Elaine Murner, Sarah Murner, Josie Hornback, and Jackson Hornback; and 22 great grandchildren.
A prayer service will be Tuesday April 4th at 10:00 am, Stoess Funeral Home, Crestwood with burial to follow in Floydsburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday, April 3rd from 2-8pm. 
The family would like to thank the  staff at Friendship Health and Rehab for their loving care and support.  We would also like to thank Geri Webber and Mary Jane Cole for their in home care.
