In deepest sympathy to all of John's family, friends and colleagues. I regret being unable to attend the memorial service. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all in this time. I can see that John remained a spirited and vigorous supporter for all of you in every way that he could through his life. As cousins living far apart we rarely got to spend time together, but I will never forget my visit to Kentucky years ago, and then seven years ago when Carol and John came to our wedding in California.
Goodbye, John. I will remember you with fondness always.
