James W. Pulley

James W. Pulley, age 73, of Crestwood passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016, with his family by his side, after his battle with cancer.  

James was a Professional Truck Driver for over 50 years, receiving multiple safety and million mile awards.  He was looked upon by his peers for his guidance and direction. He was the most loving and compassionate man who's family was always a number one priority and could brighten a room with his smile and laughter.  For years, he owned a farm, where he raised cattle and where his love of animals truly showed.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Julie McMahan-Doerr (Greg).

James is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 36 years, Shirley; five children, Derek Pulley (Lee), Jill Marowelli (Jim), Tracy O'Neal (Sanford), Donna Pulley and Scott Pulley (Jaye); five grandchildren, Katie Marowelli, Jamie Pulley, Shaun DeJaynes, Hunter Pulley and Taylor Pulley; one great granddaughter, Nova; three siblings, Janette Waits (Perry), Cornealus Kaylor and Lucille Rawlings (Reginald).

Funeral Service 11 AM Friday at Stoess Funeral Home, Crestwood, followed by burial in Floydsburg Cemetery.  Visitation 4-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations to ASPCA.
