David Stanley Smith

David Stanley Smith Jr.  was born July 18, 1940 and died June 26 in Panama City Beach, Florida  

He attended the University of Louisville Speed school and the formed his own company Production Engineering Co.  He served his country as a member of the Army’s 100th Division and his community as a member and Chief of the Pewee Valley Volunteer Fire Dept. and as an EMT.  He had also served as President of the Oldham County Jaycees. 

He was preceded in death by his wife , Sharon. 

David is survived by three children, Laura Corey (Brook), David (Chrissy), and Terry Davis (Chip), and two brothers, Charles (Peggy) and Donald (Paula)Smith:  Grandchildren Mathew and Christopher Davis, Charles Allen (Julie), and great grandchildren Charlie  and Easton Allen and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be at 7 PM Friday at Stoess Funeral Home, Creswood, with visitation from 3-7 PM.
