Danielle "Dani" Sims

Danielle Eileen Sims, known to friends as “Dani”, passed away on November 20, 2017 at the age of 34 years.

A native of Crestwood, Kentucky, Danielle was a graduate of South Oldham High School and the Louisville School of Massage. She practiced for many years as a licensed massage therapist, moving into management while earning her degree in Business Management from Jefferson Community College.

Danielle was an avid volleyball player, a lover of music and dance, and also had a passion for the outdoors. She could often be found camping or hiking at Red River Gorge. Friends and family knew her as fiercely protective and compassionate, not just toward the people she loved but also toward animals. She was an animal advocate, spending much of her time and energy caring for and even rescuing numerous animals of all kinds.

Danielle will be fondly remembered by her mother Jennifer Sims, father and step-mother Charles and Judy Sims, brother and sister-in-law Patrick and Whitney Sims, step-sister Angela Greenwell, step-brother and wife James and Angela Greenwell, and remaining family and many loving friends.

A celebration of Danielle’s life will be held at Stoess Funeral Home in Crestwood, KY. Visitation will be held on November 29th, 2017 from 4 to 6 PM with a memorial service to follow from 6 to 7 PM at the same location.
